Week of June 15, 2026
Campaigns spun out into its own module this week, with playbooks built ahead of time in a dedicated Crafting Studio instead of edited mid-run. Contacts and Companies picked up real duplicate prevention and a merge workflow, and search got steadier too. Highlight: Campaigns gets its own Playbook Crafting Studio for building stage sets, cadences, and instructions before a campaign launches.

Campaigns gets its own Playbook Crafting Studio
Campaigns split out from being a feature bolted onto Contacts into its own module this week. Playbooks now live in a dedicated Crafting Studio for visually building stage sets, cadences, and operator instructions, built and refined before a campaign ever launches instead of edited mid-run. The module covers more than outbound reach: run a Problem Interview, Solution Interview, or MVP Interview campaign to work through discovery with real people, or run an outbound campaign on LinkedIn or X to test whether a topic gets traction.

The pipeline underneath grew up too. Customizable stage classifications like Success and Cleaning give a run a shape, both Spreadsheet and Kanban views cover how different teams like to look at a pipeline, and a new slide-over Member panel handles next actions, touchpoint logging with validated outbound links, stage transitions, and permalinks to timeline entries, plus converting a member's response straight into product feedback. Importers for Markdown tables, JSON, and CSV are now idempotent and deduplicate by profile URL, so re-running an import doesn't create duplicate members.
- Campaigns is now its own module, separate from Contacts, with dedicated navigation
- Playbook Crafting Studio for building stage sets, cadences, and operator instructions ahead of a campaign launch
- Customizable pipeline stages (e.g., Success, Cleaning) with Spreadsheet and Kanban views
- Campaign Member slide-over panel for next actions, touchpoint logging, stage transitions, and timeline permalinks
- Convert a campaign member's response directly into product feedback from the Member panel
- Idempotent Markdown/JSON/CSV campaign imports that deduplicate by profile URL
Contacts and Companies stop duplicating themselves
Archived Companies, Contacts, and Campaigns are now visually obvious in lists, with badges and styled rows, and you can unarchive them with one click from the record detail panel without losing your place. Creation flows validate name and email against both active and archived records before letting a duplicate through, with a safe "Create anyway" option for legitimate display-name overlaps.

When two records really are the same person or company, a built-in Merge workflow, available from either detail view, consolidates relationships, accounts, campaign links, and activity into one canonical record, with conflict warnings and a summary of what got folded in. Search and merge results now return complete match sets too, so a large workspace can actually find every duplicate instead of just the first few.
- Archived Companies, Contacts, and Campaigns are badge-visible and restorable with one click
- Duplicate validation on name and email against active and archived records, with a "Create anyway" override
- Inline duplicate warnings in Add Contact/Add Company dialogs offering restore or merge
- Built-in Merge workflow consolidating relationships, accounts, campaign links, and activity into one record
- Complete match sets in search and merge results for large workspaces
- Contacts page KPI counters reflect active records consistently regardless of archive filters
Search and linking get more reliable
A few sharp edges got filed down. Search now handles special characters, commas, parentheses, backslashes, without erroring on unusual terms. Linking between feedback and contacts or companies is steadier: every matching contact shows up in linking popups and sidebars, and inbox rows update immediately when a link changes. Creation dialogs show a live "Checking duplicates..." status and block submission when a duplicate email or domain would prevent a valid save.

Signals and campaigns get sparklines
Campaign Success Metrics cards picked up inline trend sparklines and one-click drill-down into the signal catalog, with a confirmation step before you can accidentally unlink one. Signal linking itself now toggles between Company and Entity views and surfaces inline value and freshness metadata, so you know at a glance how current a number actually is.

The Capability timeline keeps its history straight
The Capability timeline now preserves historical parent-child relationships and metadata, so a past snapshot reflects the ownership and links that were actually true at that point in time, not what's true today. Playback and scrubbing are smoother, with faster transitions and fixed tie-breaking, and duplicate-named capabilities retain their own feedback links and correct rollup health scores instead of bleeding into each other.

Behind the scenes: the MCP server goes live in staging
The outcomet-mcp service moved from local scaffolding to a real deployment this week: it's now running on Render with a validated smoke-test path, and gained its first OAuth staging flow, authorization-code plus PKCE, so a connecting client can sign in the same way it would anywhere else in Outcomet. Still staging-only, and still nothing a customer would see directly, but it's the plumbing an eventual production connection depends on.

What this means for you this week
- Run Campaigns, whether interviews or outbound outreach, from a dedicated module with its own Playbook Crafting Studio.
- Trust that duplicate Contacts and Companies get caught before they're created, and merge the ones that slip through.
- Search and link feedback to the right people and companies without hitting dead ends on unusual characters.
- Track Campaign Success Metrics and Signals inline, with sparklines and one-click drill-down.
