Bring meeting notes into Signals
Meeting notes can now enter the same evidence workflow as other customer input. This week also adds a full reporting view for Signals, puts ownership controls closer to the work and makes dense tables much easier to operate.
Most changes below were implemented and checked in DEV or locally. Production release is not verified unless a bullet says otherwise.
In this edition
Bring Granola meetings into the evidence flow
- Connect Granola under Settings > Connections and choose which folders should feed Signals. Unfiled meetings and private scratchpad notes stay out, and sync pauses when every selected folder has been removed.
- Imported meetings use the speaker-attributed transcript by default, with explicit transcript-only and summary-only options. If a note has no transcript, its summary is used instead. Sync Now shows progress while the import runs.
- Granola appears as a Signals source filter. When the source note changes, classification runs again for the title, summary and extracted Evidence while confirmed Problem analysis stays intact.
- Optional Contact and Company linking matches external attendees to workspace records, fills missing contact details only on high-confidence matches and links both records to the imported Signal.
See where Signals need attention
- Signals > Reporting brings volume, backlog age, resolution, source, reporter origin and issue grouping into one workspace. Selecting a KPI, chart, matrix cell or cohort filters the signal table and opens the chosen Signal alongside it.
- Reporting sections can collapse individually or together. The table supports sorting, column choices and responsive folding, while section-level search and filters stay close to the data they affect.
- KPI cards recalculate with the current filters and use the Signal's state on each day instead of applying today's state to its history. Resolved Signals replaces the former empty-summary measure.
- Signal cards show clearer lifecycle states and separate Evidence and Problem progress. Closed Problems remain visible below open and proposed ones, and raw Signals use source icons rather than Problem severity codes.
- Signal Detail uses shorter classification labels while keeping older records readable. Initiative and individual Metric history no longer invent a zero baseline when tracking is missing.
Close evidence with the decision in view
- Closing a Problem resolves its open supporting Evidence by default, with a checked control to leave that Evidence open. Context, contradicting Evidence and Evidence shared with another unresolved Problem remain unchanged.
- Initiative closure shows the Evidence impact for each selected Problem and keeps the same opt-out. A Problem whose Evidence is already resolved gets a prepared closure note before the user confirms save.
- Resolving Feedback can also resolve its open non-context Evidence, add optional Change proof and close linked open Problems. The user chooses the scope.
- Feedback and Initiative surfaces now use the current Problem and Evidence vocabulary, while original source text remains untouched. Old migration banners and raw legacy status controls are removed without changing lifecycle permissions or mutation locks.
- A live Feedback request whose Problems remained open was reopened with its Change links and open Evidence retained.
Put ownership beside the work
- Members and teams now share one grouped directory with search, role filters, archived entries and team editing. Account roles remain managed centrally, and assigning a person or team does not grant access.
- Initiative and Campaign cards and tables use the same compact assignee control. It expands only on direct interaction, supports keyboard use and opens assignment without disturbing the surrounding card or detail view.
- Problems, Capabilities, Competitors, Campaign Members, Experiments, Hypotheses, Changes and Sources show responsibility inside their existing editorial metadata instead of adding a separate access block.
- Team edits and content deletion no longer close somebody else's draft. A temporary access-check failure keeps already verified content and offers retry.
- Settings navigation, member rows, team headers, search controls and Competitor risk relationships received focused layout and accessibility fixes.
Keep Contacts usable across channels
- Workspace administrators and editors can define active custom fields for Companies and Contacts, including text, links, numbers, dates and select fields. Values appear in each record's Technical tab with suggestions and normalization, and JSON imports or connected clients can update them.
- Contact and Company profiles can cover LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Facebook, TikTok, GitHub, Website and Email. Users can unlink profiles in the Technical tab, while Nova and authorized connected clients can add, update, clear and read the supported profiles.
- Contact profile reads now use persisted profile records instead of guessing from notes. Campaign membership follows the profile for the campaign's channel, and missing-profile filters use that same channel.
- Primary email stays aligned with the corresponding linked account. Adding a profile after campaign enrollment can connect it to the existing member without losing interaction history.
- Authorized connected clients with contact write access can merge tags, log Bluesky interactions and remove a campaign enrollment without deleting the underlying Contact, Company or interaction history. Contact and Company writes now return a specific, sanitized reason when validation, identity, permission, billing, rate or temporary service checks fail.
Make tables behave like workspace controls
- Tables across Product Capabilities, Companies, Contacts, Campaigns, Playbooks, Campaign Pipeline, Stories, Metrics, Work Items, Discovery Experiments and Signals Reporting support sorting, sticky headers, responsive column folding and per-user column choices.
- Companies, Contacts and Campaigns sort across the full workspace dataset for their visible fields. Company and Contact tables show loaded and total counts, can display selected custom fields and keep ICP fit in a consistent order.
- Product Capabilities now uses an interactive hierarchy with aligned columns. Drag a row to reorder siblings or move a Capability below another Capability.
- Page Style colors, opacity, alignment and detail-surface treatment carry through the data tables and inline details. These workspaces use one page scrollbar instead of nested table scrolling.
Give new workspaces a steadier start
- Nova shows preparation progress inside the active status area, keeps completed Feedback visible and preserves partial results when a later step fails. Retrying reuses completed work and starts only unfinished stages.
- Website-based Demo packages group generated Capabilities under product areas inferred from the accepted brief. The no-website route keeps its reviewed fictional hierarchy, and repeated preparation keeps an unchanged brief and its generated parents stable.
- Website setup does not offer fictional fallback while analysis is running. If website examples disappear, Nova points to Reset onboarding, while the route without a website still offers own-feedback intake.
- Demo Feedback uses a compact inventory of the saved sources and topics. Demo Experiments use shorter names while their full fictional plans stay in Results or Outlines, and fictional Demo work is blocked before tracker export.
- Experiment cards keep titles and linked Initiative or Hypothesis labels compact, while complete content remains in the detail view.
- New-account KPI summaries keep small values out of the page-level cards without hiding the underlying items or configuration. Status updates respect reduced-motion preferences.
More changes worth finding
- Clicking Signals in the main navigation opens the Signals Inbox instead of restoring a previously visited Problems tab.
- Proposed Problems opened from Feedback analysis use the parent Feedback permission. Users with write access keep Approve and Reject actions without receiving an editable Feedback owner control.
- Problem details omit records linked through deleted Initiatives or Feedback, and a missing Initiative in the loaded portfolio returns to the board instead of opening an empty error panel.
- Work Items remain stable with no selection. Removing Demo onboarding data can clear relationships left after a parent deletion while retaining the central role, workspace and billing checks.
- Authorized connected clients can search Opportunities when Initiative context is enabled. When Capability context and write tools are enabled, authorized Admin and Member connections can link Opportunities, reorganize, retire or merge Capabilities. External Capability proposals stay disabled.
- Detaching Evidence from a Problem now completes correctly through connected clients.
- Public Product Journal editions now require a concise headline and thematic, source-backed change sections. Weekly and Monthly editions fall back to complete mechanical copy whenever later evidence makes an editorial version stale.
