Competitor Intelligence
In this edition
Competitor Intelligence
- Connected clients and backend automation can query and update competitor resources without the access-denial errors affecting those calls. Profile lookups include linked companies and contacts. These database corrections were applied and verified on staging and production.
Competitor Tools for Connected Clients
- On deployments where competitor tools are enabled, competitor_search reads the tracked list, landscape, risks, assessment movement or settings. competitor_get resolves a profile by its ID, company ID or domain and includes active relationships. Reads require product_context:read.
- competitor_mutate can update profiles, assessments, relationships, risks, sources and status with competitors:write access. Profile creation can also create or update the company when only its name or domain is supplied.
- Competitor read tools and write tools are each disabled by default. The app's write-scope database update must be deployed before enabling writes. Viewer accounts cannot obtain write access. Enabled deployments advertise the permission during authorization and preserve it through access renewal.
- Creating a rubric version additionally requires an admin account and a separate rubric-write switch, also disabled by default.
