Custom taxonomy, a real-time Command Center, rebuilt feedback with Markdown and sentiment, and strategy maps with Focus Path - Outcomet adapts to how your team works.

Last month we shipped the rebrand and the core loop, feedback to themes to capabilities to strategy. It worked. But almost immediately, early teams started bumping into the same friction: "We don't call them Capabilities. We call them Features." Or Components. Or Products. Every team had its own vocabulary, and ours wasn't theirs.

I should have seen it coming sooner. A product operating system that imposes its own language on teams isn't an operating system. It's a template. And templates break the moment your organization doesn't fit the mold.

So March became the month where Outcomet learned to speak your language. But that was just one of several things that shipped. Here's the full picture.

A Command Center You Can Actually Trust

We launched the redesigned Command Center with a real-time Signals engine underneath it. A compact KPI grid with a single time-window selector (7, 30, or 90 days), automatic trend indicators, and an "Attention Required" panel that surfaces drift alerts and pending actions. All backed by live signals, not stale snapshots.

The part that matters most: click any KPI and you get a contextual drill-down with plain-language insights and root-cause breakdowns. Not just "feedback is up 40%" but why it's up, which capabilities are affected, what's drifting. The numbers finally tell a story.

Dashboards that show you numbers without explaining them aren't dashboards. They're anxiety generators.

Feedback, Rebuilt from the Ground Up

February made feedback faster. March made it first-class. A persistent global "Give Feedback" button and a native widget let anyone, internal or external, submit feedback from any screen. Shareable links open submission to contributors outside your workspace.

The composition experience now supports Markdown with live rendering, and the Feedback Detail view got a full rethink. Inline editable title, sentiment badges (neutral, happy, angry, confused, mixed), fast attribute toggles for status, severity, and type, plus triage helpers like Link to Theme and Find Duplicates. All without leaving the page.

On the inbound side, feedback processing is now real-time across email aliases and Discord, with AI-powered spam filtering and automated classification. Resolution emails go out reliably, and contributors get a "Your Feedback History" view in the widget so the loop feels closed from their side too.

Your Taxonomy, Your Terms

The headline feature of March: Custom Taxonomy. A centralized Settings Dashboard gives admins one place to rename every product term, singular and plural, and have those labels propagate in real time across headers, placeholders, legends, and graphs. Call Capabilities "Features." Call Themes "Topics." The system adapts.

Health scoring is configurable by workspace too. Define custom metrics, weights, and thresholds (including user feedback sentiment and severity), and see the threshold math exposed in Capability details. No more guessing what the number means or why it changed.

This sounds like a settings page. It's not. It's the difference between a tool your team uses reluctantly and one that feels like it was built for them.

Strategy Maps That Flex

The Strategy Map gained Tree vs Graph modes with vertical and horizontal layout toggles, so you can model both explicit hierarchies and consolidated network views in the same surface. Drag-and-drop linking works for orphaned Bets and Opportunities, right-click creation and deletion works from any map surface, and a new Focus Path mode isolates vertical flows so you can trace a single strategic thread without the noise.

Views now persist via shareable URLs that remember visibility state, and you can export strategy data as JSON. Exports honor active filters and visible layers so you share what you see, not everything.

Capabilities Get Smarter and Bulk-Ready

The Capabilities experience is now unified across Tree, List, and Map views with a centralized legend. Dynamic Capability Types infer atomic vs composite nodes automatically, and an interactive legend filters by Health or Evolution, dimming non-matches instead of hiding them. Focus Mode fades non-matching networks while preserving context.

For teams onboarding large capability models: CSV import is here, along with an improved AI Importer that handles common spreadsheet formats. Exports are available in JSON and Markdown for backup and offline review. Admins can also configure nesting depth to balance model richness against visual performance.

Discovery, Stories, and Connections

Kanban is now the default view for Feedback Themes and Discovery pipelines, with improved drag-and-drop, clear drop targets, and column counts that show hidden/filtered item totals. A new "Selected" state for themes marks planning priorities distinct from In Progress.

We shipped a Story Editor and Story Dashboard for content publishing: authoring, scheduling, visibility controls, real-time analytics, and CSV export. And a new Connections & Data center consolidates inbound connectors and external services (LinkedIn OAuth, Google Analytics, manual connectors) with clear status indicators.

A Warmer Look, a More Consistent Feel

March also brought a visual refresh. A warmer mango/terracotta brand accent, harmonized backgrounds and gradients, and new Dark/Light/Auto theme controls that persist across sessions. Accessibility got some love too, higher light-mode contrast, deeper dark surfaces, stronger card shadows.

Graph controls are now standardized. Zoom, Fit View, Lock/Unlock in the bottom-right across all maps. View persistence keeps your last layout choice across sessions and tabs. And trend calculations and KPI counts are finally consistent and date-accurate across dashboards.

What's Next

March was about making Outcomet feel like your system. Your terminology, your health model, your visual preferences, your feedback channels. April will push into integrations and external data sources, making the signals layer broader and the feedback loop faster.

We're building in the open. If something doesn't work the way your team needs it to, tell us. The feedback button is right there.
